Kit Miles + And So To Bed

And So To Bed is thrilled to be partnering with a unique British talent such as Kit. His designs are a perfect fit for the British brand which is moving in a more contemporary direction with its products.

Campbell Thompson, Buying and Merchandising Director at And So To Bed, commented, “We have been keen to work with a designer for a while now and we are really taken by the variety of Kit’s work and strong use of colour. His take on geometrics in the Diagonal Gradient fabric with vivid colour and shapes seemed a great fit for And So To Bed as we feel it has a real element of Art Deco elegance and luxury – a message which is very true to our brand. His craft will appeal to our discerning customers and his ethos for beautiful creations matches our passion for inspiring designs”.

Kit’s inspiration for his iconic Diagonal Gradient fabric comes from his interest in the concept of exploration. “My inspiration for this textile is founded on the concept of space and light-speed travel. We were looking to instil in the viewer the feeling that one could fly atop a galactic river of crystalline plains, shifting through space, exploring the universe”.

Established for over 30 years, And So To Bed is the leading bed retailer for those looking for exceptional quality and innovative design. Handmade and hand-finished by artisans who are devoted to their craft, there is a breath-taking variety of polished wood, veneers and bespoke paint finishes available on all bed ranges.

This new partnership is the beginning of an exciting new time for And So Bed as we embark on developing an enduring relationship with the Design Industry. As a design-led brand, it seems like a natural step to take in diversifying the bespoke element of the company and offering customers new possibilities.

Kit Miles will be at And So To Bed’s Kings Road showroom on 19th September to launch a piece covered in his exotic Diagonal Gradient fabric in magentas with ochre. He will also be giving a presentation on the wonder of design and creative individuality which will be followed by an open forum for any questions or advice.
